Patagonia is a Pop-up retail shop I did for the clothing brand Patagonia. The shop is made out of a shipping container that was originally 8ft wide, 40ft long, and 8ft 6in high that was altered to create its current length of 16ft wide, and 39ft 6in long, and 8ft 6in high. I altered the container by evenly dividing it into 3 parts, cutting out the front part a rectangle out of the middle section and laying it down. After laying down the section I added 6in walls to match the rest of the walls and got the Pop-up Shop shape. Patagonia is an environmental friendly clothing brand, so I wanted to use some natural and sustainable materials like wood and metal. Since the store doesn't get much attention in the woman's section, I decided to focus on female clothing. I wanted to create a space that was more on the edgy side of femininity. On top of the shop I created a small private adventure getaway of a trail to evoke the spirit of the brand. Location is very important when designing pop up shops, and since it's about brand awareness, I decided to locate it right next to Goodale Park in Columbus, OH to bring adventure to the city.
